About XC Connect

Your XCSoar Files, Always Ready to Fly

XC Connect is a cloud sync service built for XCSoar users. Store your tasks, waypoints, airspaces, IGC logs, and glider profiles in one place — and sync them directly into XCSoar's data directory via the companion Android app. XCSoar forks and variants like OpenSoar, XCSoar Jet, and Top Hat are supported too.

What you get

  • Instant XCSoar sync. The XC Connect Android app syncs your cloud files straight into XCSoar's data directory — no USB cables, no file managers, no manual copying.
  • All your file types covered. Tasks, turnpoint databases, airspace files, glider profiles, map files, and IGC logs — each organized in its own category and ready to download.
  • Smart Camera that reads your briefing. Point Smart Camera at a printed task briefing and get a draft XCSoar task back, turnpoints, sectors, and start/finish heights included — in any language. Scan a SeeYou-style task QR code or public SeeYou Cloud task link for the same result, or scan an XC Connect QR code to add a shared file. Review before you save.
  • Share a file in seconds. Send a link or show a QR code straight from the file menu, and the recipient can download it with no account needed — trade tasks and turnpoint files with other pilots, or pull your IGC log right after landing to submit to a scoring system.
  • Push it in from your phone. Show an upload QR code on the flight computer and scan it with your phone to upload a file directly from your phone to the flight computer's cloud.
  • Nothing overwritten by accident. Protected files can't be replaced without warning, and any upload or download that would overwrite a file shows you a diff first.

Perfect for

  • Pilots who want a fast, wireless way to turn a paper briefing into a task, and to transfer tasks and IGC logs between their phone and flight computer
  • Clubs managing a fleet of gliders who need a reliable way to keep navigation files up to date across all flight computers — without risking accidental overwrites of critical files
  • Anyone tired of hunting for the right file on the morning of a flight
